WSU just added a game with Emporia State and some small college like Northeastern out of Iowa to fill the bill this week. That sucks that we missed out on Fordham, they seem to be pretty good.

No, it wasn't that. But I do remember Friends being down only 7-4 in the 6th the last time the two teams met. - The real reason (if I remember correctly) the AD at Friends wouldn't let the team play WSU is because he felt like ADJS was shortchanging Friends by not offering the requisite amount of money that D-1 teams have to offer NAIA schools to play. ADJS offered some cash and a free meal for the team (or something similar), but the AD at Friends decided that Friends wouldn't be stepped on by bigger schools. Pretty dumb if you ask me. The local media attention by playing one game against WSU would be more than Friends gets in an entire school year.

I quote the AD from Friends on his reasoning "We're nobody's (female dog)".. He doesnt understand that for players at Friends it would be the chance of a lifetime to play WSU.

Emporia State's website has them playing us twice this year. Coming tuesday and March 5th. Hope we aren't playing them twice. Nothing against them but would rather have D1 competition.

Yeah, I remember that game...I'm thinking Gene had every guy who normally warms the bench playing in that game. Nothing against Friends, but that's the way it should be, even our walkons should be able to beat them.
