As a veteran small-ball hater, I can't help asking: why would you send someone up bunting against a new pitcher who hasn't established that he can throw a strike, especially when it's the guy who has half of your team's hits on the day?

I wish Butler all the success in the world, but it sure is going to be hard during his WSU career to watch him further injure an offense that's already in serious condition with decisions like that.
