Like I said I am going to support this coaching staff and I agree that we should give them several years before judging the hire. PS Hope he gives a good long look at Hooper.

I am excited that we actually have a guy now. There's pros and cons to every hire. There is never a "perfect" hire.

I really hope our hitting coach will be a homerun.. This guy has potential. Hopefully he's given the adequate amount of resources to get the job done. And hopefully he doesn't bolt within a few years or this will be a big negative hire, good in the fact that means we will be doing good, but bad that WSU would be looked at as a stepping stone. We are NOT a stepping stone program. That is for sure. It'll also be interesting to see what his salary starts out as..

Perhaps Charlie can shed some light on the guy. Was it DVH's offensive philosophy or was Butler having issues coaching hitting?

Well, he was making $128k at Arkansas, so I'd guess he'll be getting a nice raise from that. I'd guess low at $175k maybe?
