Hoop lives in Valley Center not far from me. For the record, we haven't had a bowling alley in town during my lifetime.

I'd include Valley in the west side of the pie. I wonder if this will be a key factor in the search. Actually, the lack of a bowling alley may be the tipping point.

One guy said that Van Horn is really displeased with Butler and wants to replace him.

That's pretty odd considering that Butler got a raise and promotion last year to keep him from going to Texas.

Butler would be a good hire. Hooper is a total class act and would work as well. Heebner would have been a good hire also. Wedge, my personal favorite, hasn't been fired yet.
