Who Replaces Gene?

I saw that and was a little surprised... I mean if we're looking to extend his contract youd have to guess ADES has the next coach pretty much lined up and that the coach likes Brent. Otherwise this is a DUMB freaking move

Judging by Hibbs's record I don't see how that would be a good hire. I would rather take a shot on someone young and unproven.

We will see I guess. This is a "elite" job in college baseball. Its all about recruiting and relationships. Hooper/Staniford aren't qualified. Can't imagine the BK package deal. Crazy.

He is right ta town, keeping Kemnitz certainly signals that the new coach is somehow in the family tree.

Go back and read my two responses on the previous page. I never argued it didn't.

A) I argued that I didn't think someone use to BCS pluses could win in Wichita or want to come here B) That Keeping Kemnitz on could actually be a plus for new coach.

I agree that the athletic department probably already had a replacement coach in place before they fired Gene. Was Gene in charge of recruiting? I hope they hire a big recruiter because I think that is the core of the program's recent deficiency. Gene knew how to coach, he just forgot or didn't care as much anymore about recruiting.
