Thanks -- I haven't been able to listen much. If that's true and remains so, it would be a huge break for the Shocks, even in Wholestaff mode.

Isn't it pretty much Johnny Wholestaff for everyone at this point? Maybe ISU still goes to their solid 3rd starter. WSU is in as good a shape as anyone could hope right now. Only burning Elam, Ladwig and Brummett so far. Cale could be available Saturday for something I suppose on 3 days.

Garrett Brummett moved to 4-0 and his ERA dropped to 1.16. Pretty good numbers.

The question (hopefully) becomes who in the world do we run out there tomorrow?

What we really need at this point is another solid start from Kris Gardner, then you put it togehter as needed tomorrow.

The hard part is getting to the Champiionship game after losing in the 1st round. If you get there then you can figure out what your have available.

Also, we should really be pulling hard of Evansville to win over ILS this evening so that both of them get to use up more pitching tomorrow as well.

I was talking to a SIU fan during the game ( a former SIU player who spend 4 years in minor league ball as well). He said that SIU has raised over $3 million dollars for their new baseball stadium and will start buiding it next month. He said it will be a lot like Illinois State stadium. Very Nice (his words).

I heard they are giving it to Loyola Chi to welcome them to the valley. They have a nice little league field near campus. They just need to rent some of that orange safety fence to make an outfield wall.

Unfortunately that is probably what will happen. They do still have to pay the $25,000 fee to the conference to host. Maybe that will keep them from trying to host. If they want it, I bet you anything that they would get it.
