Welp.....according to Paul Suellentrop's twitter account, 2B Tanner Dearman has his wrist in a splint and it's possibly fractured. This after 2B Cody Bobbit is out with broken hand.

Really a shame. We were finally finding some guys getting comfortable and being productive at the top of the lineup. The OBP of those two had really shot up over the past 3 weeks. Wish them both the best of luck and a speedy recovery.

This really is a shame. Both of those guys were getting the job done as well as (or better than) anyone on the team just prior to their injuries. I hope it is minor and won't affect him long-term. Both are bright spots for the future.

Too bad. I assume that was that due to a play in the ORU game? While this has been a terrific year for Shocker Athletics it has also been a year where our guys and gals have sustained a good number of injuries.

          From the Eagle:

Dearman left the (ORU) game after batting in the eighth after hearing a pop in his wrist

Time for Dayne Parker to play with a chip on his shoulder.

Down 4-0 in the fourth. Elam gave up all four in the third inning, but three were unearned on two errors by 3B Tanner Kirk followed by a throwing error on Harbutz at SS. We have yet to register a hit against 1-3 Cody Forsythe.

Shockers with three errors in the first three innings give up four runs (3 unearned) in the 3rd and trail 4-0 heading to the bottom of the 4th

Disconcerting that Elam left the game so early, but good to see Minnis in there and pitching well.

Shox get 2, but leave the bases loaded. Didn't get the big hit they really needed to make this one close.

                          5-2 SIU at the stretch.

I heard he was sick. Sick of the poor fielding and throwing by his teammates.

Opponents continue to walk Casey Gillaspie and the Shockers continue to let them get away with it.
