With a little luck, hopefully, we can eliminate a handful of SEC teams today. 5 face elimination, 4 are in the championship round while 'Bama & Vandy have already been eliminated.

Since 2000, 6 different SEC teams have won a total of 10 Nattys in baseball.

SEVEN different SEC teams have been runners up 11 times.

And they're about to add Texas and OU.

Anyone that stayed up to watch Texas battle A&M into extras was reminded how much those two Universities dislike the other. Should be good times going forward.

Unfortunately I gave up after the KState-Arkansas game and called it quits.

I would guess most of the SEC teams facing elimination will prevail today because many are facing 3 and 4 seeds and have superior pitching depth. In any event, watching the ACC sweep the SEC yesterday was quite fun. I don’t have the disdain for ACC programs that I do for SEC schools. Don’t know why.

Dave Van Horn about to spend another June on the couch.

Arkansas and their 50 home games this year proved to be overrated like always.
          Deuces Valley.
          ... No really, deuces.

Atrocious call against Tulane for running out of the 1B run lane. When the dude was 100% within the lane the whole time. And then still called him out after review. That was horrible.

Arkansas just benefited from a review call which clearly showed the SEMO runner legging out a play at first. These shithole P4 schools just have to steal outs any way they can.

Umpire neglects to call strike 3 and Arkansas gets a 2 run homer a pitch later. Another extra out given to a bunch of undeserving shlaps.

Happy to be wrong about that. KState odds on favorite to move to Supers.

:LSU and Mississippi State stay alive. Arkansas and South Carolina eliminated.

Florida up on Nebraska 7-4 after 4 on the strength of a 5-spot in the 2nd inning.

Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas A&M are in the finals at 2-0.

Tulane picks up a run in the bottom of the 6th to close the score to 3-6. However, they blew a great opportunity to get much closer.

A walk, an error and walk loaded the bases for Tulane with no one out. A 5-3 fielder's choice ground out scored a run leaving runners on the corners with 1 out.

A hit by pitch reloaded the basis. Jackson Linn who ended the Shocks' season with a walk off home run struck out on 3 pitches and Tulane SS Marcus Cline flied out to left on the first pitch of his at bat to end Tulane's at bat.

In the top of the 8th a Irvine single and a walk to open the inning forced a Tulane pitcher change after which a wild pitch and a double plated 2 runs as Irvine extends their lead to 8-3.

After a walk to the next batter Tulane goes to the pen for the 3rd pitcher of the inning and 5th pitcher of the game. Another walk loads the bases again, still with no outs. A double plated 2 runs to make it 10-3. Single to right makes it 11-3 and with only 3 at bats left it will take a miracle for Tulane who only has 2 hits in the game over the first 6 innings. It's not getting any better for Tulane as another walk reloads the bases still with no outs.

A single to let makes it 12-3 followed by another pitching change.

Irvine tacks on 3 more before Tulane can escape and leads 15-3 going into the bottom of the 7th. Implosion complete.

Louisiana puts up 7 in the top of 8th and they lead Texas 9-2 heading into the bottom of the 9th as the Ragin Cajuns are on the cusp of sending the Longhorns home.

So does this count as a Big 12 or SEC flop? Or can we do both?
