Is it normal for the first base umpire to try to get THAT close to someone trying to catch a fly ball. This one wasn't as bad as the one earlier, but they definitely are in the peripheral vision of the player while they are trying to adjust when looking up

Nope. Was going to comment. Chased Livingston over to the dugout on a popout earlier as well. Which on that one you do need to get over to watch for OOB or interference, but they have been all up in the bidness for no reason.

Yea the first one was REALLY bad, like he was straight up in the way
