Somebody gonna have to do something a little unexpected in a big spot.

Time for Camden Johnson's first collegiate dinger?

Welp. 8 and 9 hitters set the table and the top of the order can't convert.

One of the few games Camden Johnson has not looked real good at the plate.

These midweek games are really taking the momentum from the weekend. I suppose we’re just not Top 50 material, hence the inability to win against that grouping.

              ... No really, deuces.

But also not bad. One of those teams that define the line between the good teams and the not good teams. Good enough to do REAL good against poor teams. Not good enough to not do REAL poor against good teams.

The surprising part to me is that it has mostly been the offense not doing enough against midweek pitching that is probably on par with the weekend pitching of some of the less good teams they are handling.

Ump show gifts them a run but we should have 6-7 on the board anyways
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

Gifts them 2 essentially. MK just sounds sad and I don’t blame him

When your pitching issues 11 more freebies than your offense earns, the outcome will likely not be favorable.

Coach Green might want to rethink the wisdom of scheduling these 5 game weeks. I guess if nothing esle this game helps to separate the the wheat from the chaff on the pitching staff.

Zang, Geraghty, Munz and Oswald did themselves no favors. Iverson and Arnett perhaps improved their stock a little bit. Iverson would primarily be another lefty situational releivers somewhat like Hunter Holmes.

Hopefully things go much better for the Shocks tomorrow against KU.

Holmes didn’t look like he had his sharpest stuff today

Absolutely cannot let the Sooners beat us twice. Flush it. Come back with some grit tonight.

And the dugout has been a little too quiet for my liking. These guys do better when they're engaged.

Sure looks like they have already over used Anderson and Holmes. There are some guys who have done well but a whole bunch that have taken steps backwards with this coaching staff. Callahan and Darnell Parker for some reason don't play much now. A lot of pitchers have lost confidence and he brings in an outfielder to pitch? No Wilkinson or Walters or even Agnew? Team looked flat with no energy. Next two weeks will be very telling as the schedule gets tougher

When you use the same pitchers over and over and over again, you can't expect those other guys to come out and perform when they haven't seen live batters in many weeks.
