Favors gives up 3 hard hit balls in the 2nd but works around them to put up another goose egg.

Shocks apparently using some kind of wireless digital system to call the pitches from the dugout. Favors has his gadget strapped to the wrist band of his glove and Millan has is attached to the top of his left shin guard. Looks like tech may be using the same thing.

The Shocks plate 4 in the 3rd to stake Caden to a 6-0 lead. Millan undressed the pitcher with hard shot up the middle, Callahan blooped a ball just over the 3rd baseman into short left and Williams was plunked on an 0-2 pitch. J-Gus with a seeing eye roller through the 3-4 hole into right scores 2, a Stroh sac fly scores Williams, a little blooper to right center by Davyn Johnson scores J-Gus.

Hardest hit ball of the inning was liner to left by Rogers but right at the leftfielder.

While Cam Johnson seems to have things figured out at the plate, Darnell Parker looks overmatched at the plate. He is truly a Willy Mays Hayes.

Shocks plate a 7th run in the 4th with some small ball. Cam Johnson led of with a single over the 2nd baseman's head, stole second, went to 3rd on a fielder's choice grounder to 2nd by Callahan and scored on a 2-out single fisted to left by J-Gus.

Baseball can be a funny game. Tech has probably hit the ball ever bit as hard or harder then the Shocks on average but find themselves on the wrong side of a 7-0 score.

Caden with another quality start. 6 innings, no runs on 3 hits and 1 walk with 6 k's on only 73 pitches.

My guess is they will shut him down and try to get the bullpen some work.

As per usual I am wrong. Caden does come out in the 7th. His pitch count is good and he has earned it.

No problem, Caden works a quick 1-2-3-4 inning thanks 2 a 2-out throwing error by Darnell Parker at short.

Shocks small ball another run across in the 7th to make it 8-0. J-Gus walk, Stroh with a bouncer up the middle, Dayvon Johnson with a double play grounder.

Caden Favors, sitting at 86 pitches, is out for the 8th inning.

Favors cut 1.2 off his ERA today.

The Shockers didn't exactly hammer the U-Tech pitching but they were very opportunistic and had more than enough to support Favors and allow him to cruise. In the past, it seems like, more often then not, the Shocks would lose these kind of games.
