You expect an NCAA tournament team with a complete roster overhaul and a completely new coaching staff in year 1?

That might be a tad unrealistic.

I thought 15 to 20 wins was about right after the summer. I'm not going to allow one weekend to seriously modify that thinking (one only need remember our 7-1 start in basketball to understand you need talent) even if that one weekend gives you concrete reasons to be at least a little optimistic.

Personally, I expect our program to be damned better, for all the things SB Shock is referencing, every season when compared to the last dozen or so. One season of exceeding the mean in a positive way sure would be a welcome sight.

I didn't know if we'd have ANY starters to count on. I hoped Mulhollon could be one. LaPour is better than I think anyone could have dreamed (arm talent) and pretty much Zang as well. There was little hope Favors was going to be a starter type even if he has been more good than bad during his career...it's almost always been in short stints. Now, to me at least, someone that has seen the weekend rotations of our conference up close and personal every season since we joined the AAC, we have at least a competitive weekend rotation. And possibly better. That allows us to at least compete.....now let's see where we are.

Checked the forecast, looks like Jax may see some rain about the time we're scheduled today....shouldn't last much more than the afternoon, but I'm guessing a delay is almost certain at this point.
