Its only 2 games in and it might just be looking for positivity, but man... they just seem so much more disciplined in every aspect of the game so far compared to the last couple years. Not shooting themselves in the foot with errors, not chasing at the plate, not taking obvious strikes, swinging to make something happen instead of just for the fences, not getting rattled on the mound. Just impressive so far.

I've waited 10 years for this feeling. Other than onesy, twosy games here and there in the Gene Stephenson years I didn't get hooked on Shox baseball until Butler was at the helm.

It's been a grind manifesting my best inner forevershockerfan, being relentlessly hopeful even in the face of suckitude.

That has made this opening really, really sweet feeling!

It means a good start and more evidence than we had before the season that this team may prove to be better than thought. But you are right. A long way to go with mostly newcomers to D-1 baseball.

I saw Daniel Zang in the fall and was impressed then. He certainly passes his D-1 entrance exam today. Met Daniel's parents in the fall. Very nice folks. Bet they are on cloud 9 today.
