    • Little more human from the offense to start.

      ... No really, deuces.

      • Stroh isn't seeing the breaking ball very well today

He better shorten up his swing on curveballs, and take it up middle/opposite field. He will only see curve balls for the rest of the year.

          • Milan’s knee may not bend very well behind the plate after getting hit.

            • Liukart nice piece of hitting going opposite field.

              • Approach to the plate is much better this year but there are a couple of early black holes in the lineup.

                • It’s nice to see situational, put the ball in play, hitting approach versus 100% focus on exit velocity and bat speed. Again, it’s early, small sample size…but it is refreshing.

Today? Anybody throwing him a fastball is a moron.

                      • Umpire giving LRA pitcher the 3rd Base corner + but doesn’t give Zang the same leeway on the 1st Base side corner+.

Doc is right. Zang has really good movement on his fast ball. It moves in on righties and away on lefties, with a little sinking action. Tough to hi5 when he can control it. OTOH, he hasn’t been able to control his curve ball, so he’s had to depend on one pitch.

                        • 3rd base corner definitely there for both pitchers, agreed. The other corner is not. Which is just a bit of a bummer today given the lineups of each team. Solid effort so far though. Just working his way through.

He's had several very big strikeouts with 2 outs and RISP.

Coach Green has publicly stated he is not much into launch angles and exit velocities and I have heard a few players comment trrying to hit the ball hard on a line and spray it around the field as well. So perhaps not too surprising. But, yeah, I like it as well..

                              • Guess we’ve learned that Stroh can’t hit a curveball. 3 K’s…most if not all, on curveballs.
