                  Started at Texas. When MJ got drafted out of high school, Mike specifically asked the Horns coaches if there was any fear that MJ could get cut. They assured him there was not. MJ went to college instead of going pro…and proceeded to get cut in December. Wasn’t a bad kid. Worked hard. Great teammate. Just “got **** on” (Mike’s words in Hosmer podcast, not mine).

                  As Mike alluded in his interview with Shane, MJ wasn’t looking for the shiny toy. He wanted to go where he could develop as a baseball player and as a man and thinks that he found that place to be here.
