      • SIU outfielder loses an easy fly out in the lights and Cu cuts the lead to 5-3 in the fifth with nobody out.

          • SIU has lost balls in the lights, made base running errors and has just plain played sloppy but they lead 6-4 going to the 7th.

            • Cu scores 4 in the bottom of the 7th. Cu now leads 8-6 (after trailing 5-1) going to the 8th.

              • The Salukis sloppy play is killing them. They still trail 8-6 in the bottom of the 8th.

                  • #8 wins. Cu goes to the Ncaa tournament with the Valley's auto bid with a losing record. How embarrassing.

Tank it all year and then get hot in the last week of May. Way ta go Creighton. You deserve it. The Valley is PROUD!

                        • Awesome... One of the worst offensive teams in the freaking NCAA goes on and wins the tourney. Just goes to show what a bit of coaching can do.

Because they found a way to play above their talent level. So, its nice to see the players and coaches get rewarded for a good effort. They were by far the worst team in the league and figured out how to put it together for a few games.

I'll start cheering for WSU when I see that kind of effort out of our staff and players.

Where was that elite coaching all year? Creighton won the league last year, was picked either 1 or 2 this year in the Valley, and returned a ton of veterans. They then precede to finish dead last in the Valley. I'd call it luck over coaching.

Sorry, but I'd rather not have WSU finish dead last in the league every year and then get lucky one week in May and steal a bid that they don't deserve. Seriously?
