Bottom of the 1st, Tolle is taken to the wall but Ingram saves the day with a great catch against the wall. Tolle gets out of the inning after a single and it's 1-0 Shocks, top 2nd.Comment

Now Chuck Ingram gets a little healthy with a 2nd inning home run. Both teams seem in a hurry. Tolle not really sharp, not really laboring but needs to clean up his work. In a little bind in the bottom of the 2nd due to a walk.
And it bites him. A walk, WP to 2nd and a 1 out single and UT is on the board. 2-1 still batting in the 2nd.
I am sure they want Tolle to go as long as possible, but he clearly doesn't have command today. Walk, WP, single on 3-1 count then hits the next guy. First and second, still one out.
A very slow roller to short and no mistake but just too slow to turn 2. Now first and third 2 out.
As long at Tolle continues to throw first pitch balls and work from behind, he's going to struggle (as would most pitchers).
A 4 pitch walk and they are loaded. Big problem for Tolle and the Shocks here.
Tolle gets the talented freshman Bryker Hurdsman to flyout and gets off the hook. 2-1 Shocks top of the 3rd.Comment

Shocks go too quickly in the 3rd. Not patient enough.
And Tolle again just doesn't have it today. Doing better throwing strikes but these guys hit fastballs. First and second and nobody out and he's in a mess again.
Sac bunt moves the runners over with one out.
Base hit and it's tied. Tolle just not fooling anyone right now. First and third still one out, game tied at 2.
Payton does go after the next batter, gets ahead and gets him to ground out but so weakly (swinging bunt) that they can't turn 2 and it's a FC rbi, 3-2 Utah Tech. Runner at 1st, 2 out.
Groundout ends the inning but the damage is done. 3-2 UT top 4 in a 7 inning game it's getting to crunch time. Better battle back fast.Comment
