There were days I would have considered using Tonya as a pinch runner. Although we know she swings a pretty mean stick too...

What happened to that poster who came around here after the MSU series?
I am right here. The color Maroon does not run. We had a rough weekend but still are right in the middle of the at large discussion. Kendall Rogers loves us in fact. The dig about us having 500 fans for the MVC championship is laughable we will be well supported. If Evans suggests to Guttin that we use Petree it is basically an automatic loss for the opponent. We will be a very tough out in Springfield. Keith will have us playing our best.

What does this mean? isn't he in your rotation already? Why would double cheese have to suggest to Guttin to use him? Why isn't it an automatic win for MSU instead of an automatic loss for the opposition? What constitutes an era and what makes it golden?

Actually, they do run, hide or just plan don't show up...I remember not all that long ago MSU fans thought they had surpassed WSU as the MVC power, shortly there after MSU finished the season dead last, hosted the MVC Baseball tournament (which kept a deserving team from playing). Nobody showed up to the games. I don't think MSU has won the tournament on their home field period. I know in the last 15 years we've won it 10 times or so...has MSU ever won the MVC tournament anywhere?

We won it in 1996 and 1997.

Considering the level of success the 2012 has had I would expect large crowds in two weekends. There is a buzz out here. What happened in the past is just that the past. This years team is all that matters and it has the superb pitching to go very, very far. But your boys could too I suppose. Look at Fresno St in 2008. That is what makes this time of year special in those great college baseball towns all over this region.

Yeah, well, neither does your pitching coach.

And have you been watching a lot of John Wayne movies lately? Maybe you should change your name again...this time instead of SWOMO to MoState, MoState to SWMaroondoesn'trunU. That ought to scare Mizzou really good this time.

What if SWMO gets swept this weekend and is in 3rd place in the MVC?

500 is not that far off, SWMO is only averaging 672 fans this year. The road average attendance is higher for SWMO so maybe you don't understand the definition of "support"?

I was gonna ask what their average was. Thanks for that SB.

Sorry my "dig" ruffled you up. The truth kinda hurts. You average 672 fans/game in one of your most storied runs as a baseball entity. Your past tournament hosting showed the exact same thing. No one shows up. And then you just got burnt by Evansville at home for two games that took you off that perch at the top and you're trying to tell us there's a "buzz" around MSU baseball and the crowds are gonna show up in droves. Are they giving the tickets away?

Well if I guess Kendall Rogers likes ya, then the golden road to Omaha is all yours. After all, he speaks the gospel.

I can't wait to watch the buzz in Springfield this year.
                  Deuces Valley.
                  ... No really, deuces.

Honestly, I hope you're right and people do show up. I understand it's not fair for WSU to host the tournament every year, but when we show up in large numbers for all the games and others, for example MSU, average fewer fans for the home team that we do for all the games, the MVC is just losing money and making the league look even more Mickey Mouse than it already is.

WSU still a 3 seed at large selection. Moved out of last five in, so moved up since last week.

Also note that as an added bonus WSU is now in the MWC and not the MVC, THANK YOU sebaseball for making the move for WSU!
