Payton doesn't look to me to be a guy that will overpower you and his arsenal of off speed pitches seems pretty limited. As a result he really needs to locate his pitches well. When he keeps the ball down around the knees he is pretty effective but if he starts getting his pitches up it doesn't go so well for him.Originally posted by shoxlax View Post

Perhaps expectations for this year's Shocker team got a bit ahead of reality. Although you never know what reality for a team will be until they show it on the field. That said, I think this team can and should be better than what they have shown so far. Whether or not they can get it turned aground to some degree remains to be seen.Comment
