Today's starting lineup is 2 freshman (the battery mates), 6 sophomores (3 of them juco transfers) and 1 junior (also a juco transfers). Let's see that's a total of 3 years of D-1 experience prior to this year (plus 15 games for Cornblum 2 years ago before the season was suspended).

Well Cadena had 11 guys steal on him (yah I know it was mostly the pitchers fault) and has an extremely weak bat.

Denning Gerig. Doing a pretty decent job IMO. He fills in every now and then on women sports when needed.

Cranz got through his 1st inning okay. He gave up two runners on a hit batter and a bunt single. Got all 3 outs on fly balls to Chuck Ingram in left.

Cranz threw first pitch strikes to all 5 batters he faced but did not follow-up on that as well as you would like.

Sounds like a day where there is no money hitting the ball in the air.

Maybe not. The 8-hole hitter takes one out to right filed in the 2nd to put TSU up 1-0. The 9-hole hitter followed with a double and then Seth Stroh drops a fly ball in center that would have ended the inning and TSU is up 2-0.
