  • Obviously Foster Vielock and Cale Elam pitched great again today but Josh Smith really impressed me. He didn't have his best stuff today. He struggled but he came through when he needed to and held Tulane scoreless. That was a great blue collar effort on his part.

That double by Kevin Hall was big. I am glad to see him get a big hit.

        • Nice series win. I agree that the pitching and defense is carrying us. We'll see how we stack up with another quality team next weekend. Unfortunately, when you don't have any bats, your margin is razor thin. I hope I'm wrong, but that might catch up with us next weekend.

          • Great Win! The pitching continues to dominate, the defense is crisp and the hitters continue to improve at executing.

It was a cold, rainy day at the yard but a very enjoyable one. After the game it was nice to warm up inside Koch Arena with a few thousand other Shocker fans.

Now it is time to get a sweep against ORU on Tuesday. GO SHOX!
