Weather forecast currently looks favorable to get in all the games with Air Force and La. Tech. 60-degree-plus weather and dry. Need to sweep Air Force, because La. Tech is where the schedule gets real. They're 8-3 with a sweep of then-ranked La.-Lafayette.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

My guess is they will roll him out on Tuesday but with a somewhat reduced pitch limit. Perhaps 70-75 pitches. Then bring him back on Sunday.against LaTech.

Feels like the way to go. Maybe even predetermined split on Tuesday. Try to get 3 innings out of him and then bring him back on Sunday.

Certainly another option. A lot may depend on how many guys the would like to get some mound time in the two game midweek set against Air Force.

You and Mrs Doc must be eating the same cereal. Exactly the same thing.

It all depends on whether “winning” is the most important goal or if they want to see more pitchers. With 4 days rest, Preston could still pitch 80-90 (4 not so good or 6 really good innings) pitches which is what the coaches have already been doing.

It appears the Shocks will go with Snavely today and Barnhouse tomorrow.

Wichita State baseball opens a season-long 10-game homestand with a pair of games against the Air Force Academy Tuesday and Wednesday at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field. Tickets are available at GoShockers.com/tickets, or by calling (316) 978-FANS.

I think it's always a special day when you have the honor to compete against one of the service academies. It's a gorgeous day, a wonderful day to get to the yard and support our Shocks and also give a tip of the hat and a huge thank you to the young men that will be the future leaders of our Air Force defenses. It's pretty cool that they get to piggy back on military flights and come into McConnell AFB for their 2 game set here.

Thank you for your service and good luck to the Falcons and Go Shocks!

                    1B Marsh
                    LF Katzfey

                    P Snavely

Loaded up on lefties a bit. Katzfey needs to find the range soon or he may have trouble finding time. No VanVooren, hopefully he isn't out too long. He was clearly adding something on both sides of the ball.

I've tweaked a hammy, it's not fun. Hoping that DVV is, like the rest of us, day to day.

One bright spot from the injuries is that we've been able to see a lot of Cornblum, Shaver and Clemons (and to a lesser extent Marsh and Elliot), a bunch of freshmen are getting experience, and the record isn't suffering much at all.

That was a start reminiscent of the Butler era.
