Down to 29 on the roster with the absence of Kyle Wilson. I know he was injured and had or was going to have surgery so he wasn't going to play this year anyway.

Got hurt on the practice field and WSU refused to pay secondary insurance. This seems to be the theme there. One of the many reasons.....

I don't understand. All student-athletes are covered with secondary insurance, so saying refused to "pay secondary insurance" doesn't make sense. Are you saying WSU refused to file a claim? If so, on what basis did they refuse?

They claimed preexisting issues.. This is the Head trainer MO as to not have WSU assist in the secondary. Lot of players have been done the same way. Love WSU but not the way to take care of the players.

Well was it a pre-existing condition?

If it was there would be no reason to post. it's unfortunate but lots of players are told that. and not a lot are speaking up. that's all I will say going forward. Good luck to all those folks that will have to deal with this every year from the head AT decisions. Just remember when you hear more players leaving because of this type of treatment. Love the school and always a fan of the baseball team.

So just to be clear, an athlete:

                1) got injured during official practice,
                2) notified the team trainer immediately and got approved to go see the _team_ physician,
                2) went to the _team_ physician and got treatment,
                3) filed with his primary insurance, then
                4) went to the athletic office to request secondary insurance be filed,
                5) and the head trainer ruled the team physician's procedure as being pre-existing, so wouldn't file a claim?

All that is true? And this pattern has happened to lots of players?

Yeah, if all true, HCEW won't be happy with that.

                    • Well we have another poster with 13 posts. After research, none of them are positive posts during games excited about successes our players are having. They all seem to be tearing down the current Shocker coaches, or other Wichita powers, and defending Butler era players. There was one Triple Lindey comical post in between other posts who are being critical of coaches on the baseball threads. While I'm not sure, why would I believe without proof, conspiracies regarding our athletes (mainly baseball program but saying all athletes), with all charges coming from an anonymous poster? My question would be ...."Why would WSU want to establish a reputation as not caring for their athletes?"

Usually ShockerFever is best at "smelling out" posters who have alternative agendas, so I won't say definitively that CoachJ isn't a Shocker supporter but instead has an agenda. However, the pooh smell is beginning to settle on Shockernet again.
