I know we've waited too long, but can we afford to wait past this year, even if it's just one more season?
I think not. This is obviously a pitiful offensive team, even if Brent is doing his magic on the bump.
Not only don't we have the talent of other MVC teams (what a joke) but those guys aren't coached up at all.
Could this be the first losing season in the modern era? Brent probably keeps that from happening, but anything is possible, except a return to greatness.
2 down, and the ball still hasn't left the infield.
2 out double keeps the Shocks breathing. Casey at the plate.

You could tell by Baylif body language he wasn't going to get the bunt down - that is just bad coaching not knowing your players strengt and putting them in position to fail. And then gene let's Coughenor hit away when he is 0 for 24.
Casey G had two chances to be a hero but looked overmatched.

Our hitting is just plain awful. Team batting averages past three years, .280, .295, and .276. For college baseball, that simply stinks. If you want to be an NCAA post-season tourney team, keep dreaming as those numbers won't give you a chance.
Is our hitting coach not doing his job, are we not getting recruits that are as skilled, a combination of both? If this season turns into another disaster, I've been a #10 supporter and feel he deserves to call it whenever he wants, but at the very least, our hitting coach needs to do some introspection and get things turned around!
