Bohm robbed of a 2-run double on a great play by the USF third baseman. Must be nice.

Wow, what a play by Villar to rob Bohm of a double and save a couple runs. Yuck.

Still 9-5 USF to the 7th.

It’s frustrating but I’m sure that you realize that even many professional pitchers don’t develop in the minors because they can’t command location and some just walk too many batters and it becomes psychological. Location can be lost at any time by even the top pitchers.

1-2-3 7th for Segal. Shockers have 9 outs remaining to put a rally together.

USF's pitcher has a 1.40 ERA, 23 K's and 6 walk's in 19.1 innings. That's their setup guy. That might help explain why USF is so far ahead of the Shox in the standings.

Edit: Removed # of singles and extra base hits from post due to possible misread of stats.

Back to back 1 out walks brings in Alec Wisely in relief of Cruz, runners at 1st and 2nd for Alex Jackson. Big opportunity for the Shocks' bottom of the lineup here, need to put something together.

Single by Jackson nets a run, and a misplay on the hit outs runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out

Big RBI single for Jackson and a fielding error by the USF CF allows Jackson to take 2nd and Cadena advances to 3rd. 9-6 USF, runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.

Mason O'Brien pinch hits for Dugas. Come on Mason!

Have to get this runner home from 3rd with 1 out

OBrien strikes out. Looking for a 2-out hit now

Strikeout swinging for O'Brien. It sure looked like Ball 3 hit Mason on the toe and if it didn't and he faked it, I am guessing it would have worked. As it was, he swung at 3 out of the zone and whiffed in an absolutely crucial situation. Grrrrrrr.

Paxton Wallace will try to pick up the Shocks with 2 out against closer Andrew Perez. Perez, who has been fantastic this season, is beyond due for a bad outing :)

Paxton strikes out swinging on 3 pitches.

9-6 USF to the 8th. Shockers really needed more than 1 there.

Scoreless 8th for Alex. Gotta think he's earned a spot in next weekend's rotation with this week's performances (though there was discussion earlier this year that he'd voiced a preference for coming out of the pen, so it seems the spot is his if he wants it).

6 outs for the Shockers to make up 3 runs.

Ritter draws a leadoff walk for the Shox 11th free pass of the day. Gonna need some hits mixed in here somewhere to make this hapoen.

Bohm blasts one over the scoreboard to draw the Shox within 1.
