Conference standings a total cluster after today. USF takes the series at ECU, Tulane going for the sweep against Houston.

8 teams within 1.5 games of 1st, leaders USF and Cincy at 7-5. Winner of Tulane/Houston game 3 will join them.

Shockers win 15-7. Good job today getting a must-win to avoid what would have been a disastrous sweep. Fingers crossed Tommy's injury is not too serious although it did not look good.

Disappointing weekend and a missed opportunity, but 2-2 on the week against good competition is treading water from an at-large standpoint. WSU improved today to 6-6 vs. Top 50 teams on the year.

Couple tricky midweek home games before we hit the road for 8 straight (followed by 9 straight at home). Challenges abound for Steele as the injury count continues to rise at a tough time - will be interesting to see what kind of plan we have on Tuesday/Wednesday. Preston Tuesday and Tyler Davis Wednesday? Perhaps.
