Yes, I really doubt the account given on ShockerNet is the entire story. I imagine he didn't question BK like 'hey coach why the change?' but instead probably had some sort of entitled, cry-baby attitude. Doesn't excuse what BK said IF he said that or anything close to it. I know BK can have a short fuse but I have never heard anything like this in 30+ years so it is odd to say the least.

Bottom line is at this level you have to be able to handle yourself when someone in authority calls you out. Even if BK said exactly what was posted, the response should have been "What can I do to improve?" or "Yes, you're right, but I continue to work hard and get better and feel I deserve a chance to prove it." Either way, I have no respect for anyone that walks away from their team because they THINK they should be playing. Good luck in life with that attitude...

Also, I imagine Gene is well aware of what happened but doesn't want to comment until he has had a chance to speak to everyone involved. Actually I think his comment was spot on if he was going to comment at all. I am disappointed that the news was delivered by BK.

LOL I'm just shocked at the number of people saying we don't recruit/win with tough kids like we used to and then so many on here defending a quitter!

I wish we would recruit the type of kid we used to, I'm just not sure how many of those kids exist anymore and to me this is a prime example...

During the game, Shane mentioned there was "a lot of MLB brass in the stands". I suspect this had something to do with the blowup.
