Nothing a weekend sweep won't cure.

I feel like we might be this season's version of Missouri State. We effed up our non-conference performance just enough to be out of contention for an at-large, and now we have a great chance to screw over the lone MVC team who has a chance at one.

We couldn't do it to a more deserving foe. ;-)

Couldn't think of a better way to help them celebrate the 20 year anniversary of their bagel against us back in the heyday!

I'm very happy to see Micah Green and Walker Davidson having more success at the plate. Walker is a damn good 2B and the Shox need him to contribute offensively. Perhaps all that potential oozing from Green's 6'2" frame is finally turning into a ball player.

Offensive consistency continues to be mystifying. The "table-setters" at the top of the order reached base only 2 of 19 plate appearances on Sat. (1BB and 1H), and the RBI spots (3-4-5) drove in 1 run on a day with the Shox score 14 runs.

The pitching was mostly OK. Other than Rainey's 3 BB outing, the relievers were close to outstanding. Josh Smith was again the victim of bad defense an a quick hook.

After tomorrow, the Shox have a 9-game homestand then finish up on the road vs. a poor Bradley team. 6 games vs. the bottom two and 3 games vs. #1 puts the Shox in a position to (dare I say, rather easily) finish at the top of the league.

Can they grab the bull by the balls and do it?

Boyd's World has Creighton needing to finish 7-4 to have an RPI in the top 45.

And I predict it will rain....so what is your point? I think you have us confused with bj cafe (though they care even less about baseball)

I think his point is we're not on the list as even possible to get to that threshold.

                        Just guessing though.

Actually, looking at that, the numbers aren't as bad as I thought.

I haven't checked our RPI all season. According to that list, WSU is 88 and the Valley is #10.

I would be curious what a 12-1 finish would do to our RPI...not that I am naive enough to think we're that consistent, but I'd still be curious.

That is my take also. But that is news to us how? And he is not even man enough to say it to our face so he going to make snide comments. Time for this troll to be gone.

Not good enough to get WSU to the bubble, but good enough to get us pissed off about what could have been if WSU would have taken care of business against Top 100-200 RPI competition.
