Actually...I was just noticing that if Creighton didn't win the Valley, they maybe had an outside shot of bumping a bubble team.

What are u smoking? If cu doesn't win the mvc they are not going to be at-large. Their SOS is crap. They have no quality wins and they are playing in a very weak conference.

Both Gardner Webb and Illinois State are considered bubble teams and both have SOS's that are in Creighton's range range (maybe worse) .

It would be a long shot......maybe a miracle shot.

Well you might try somebody that is a little more knowledgeable then whoever your reading.

ISU has the ability to win the MVC tournament, but no way are they bubble material with their 70's RPI which won't get that much better unless they win all their games.

Gardner Web is a long shot if they finish real strong and do well in their series with Clemson. But it's hard to see the #3 team in the big south getting an at-large. I suppose if they did finish strong they would be at least #2 in their league.

Boyd's World had Creighton at #30 yesterday...in his Iterative Strength Ratings and #40 in Pseudo RPI.

            Notes:

Chris O'Brien is tied for #3 in country for hits and #9 for RBI's...Tyler Grines is tied for #6 for base on balls

NCAA doesn't use the ISR so it is irrelevant.

CU RPI is inflated because of their win/losses record, not because of their SOS and quality wins. As long as they keep winning then their house of cards may stay intact. But lose and their RPI will collapse.

It is interesting that the Valley has moved up to 10th in conference rpi with a chance to finish in the top 8.

It's the best the Valley has done in baseball in quite a few years. Maybe UNI dropping their program has removed an anchor that was holding down MVC baseball. ;-)
