Flynn with a gutsy blue collar shutout going through 3 innings. Lots of base runners but no damage.

Never would have imagined Coy not starting before the season began.

Nice job by Flynn so far to keep this thing blank. Probably too much to ask for it much longer. Need to keep putting non-zeros on the board in our half of the innings.

            Flynn in a pickle.

Bases loaded, 0 out for the Rainbows in the 4th. Sossamon up in the pen.

Sossamon in after Flynn allows a 2 run single, and Beringer muffed the ball to allow the hitter to 2nd.

Chance walks the first hitter to load them back up.

3-2 score with the bases loaded for the 'Bows and 0 out. Not looking so hot.

                Another 2 run single.

4-3 Rainbows, still 0 out. Good grief, the 4th inning is a disaster so far.

                  Chance balks in a run.

5-3 with a runner on 2nd, 1 out. Gorilla glue and a mennonite quilt tourniquet wouldn't stop this bleeding.

7-3 now. Sossamon coming out, not sure if it matters who is coming in.

We're gonna need some serious offense to have a chance in this one.

Wow, why is Sossamon even an option? Are we that thin in the pen? I would put Tyler Grimes to pitch before him.

                      The mediocrity lives on.

At least the basketball team will be on my mind.

                      Good freaking night.

This team is no different than lasts. Just your ol' average run of the mill baseball program that will get some nice wins and some bad losses. Looks like it will be the tourney or bust.

                          10-3 now.

Much like the hoops team in the regular season, we get within grasp of prosperity and success- then do our finest French army imitation.

                            12-3 in the 8th.

Gotta win tomorrow to avert disaster. I will say that at least Hawaii just flat out kicked our asses this game and we didn't just give it away like on Wednesday.

A beating this bad can be difficult to bounce back from right away. Tomorrow will be a mental gut check for this team.

I didn't listen to much of the game, but I listened long enough to hear Shane say something to the affect of, "Whatever it is that's wrong with this team, defense, walks, hitting ... it is all between the ears."

One thing I like about Shane - he doesn't candy-coat things.
