This program is now relevant in the college baseball world on reputation only, not what the Shox are doing on the field. I do not want this program to fall into baseball obscurity and getting series wins over top tier teams will prevent us from doing so.

I understand it is early, but the season is now 20 percent completed and with a current RPI of 136 and a SOS of 249 we need to get wins over a team like Tulane who has an RPI of 9.

Having lost 3 out of the last 5 is sickening, and we need to go 2 -1 over Tulane.

Nice one. And might I add, Tulane is also missing three starting pitchers in LeBlanc 2.87 ERA, Broach 1.64 ERA and BYO 0.59 ERA due to injuries. Our offense is struggling against their 3rd, 4th and 5th line starters, it is a damn good thing Tulane didn't have these guys ready for us or it would have been a long series.

Struggling on offense against these guys says a whole lot about this team and perhaps today they will finally break through on Tulane's depleted pitching staff.

So Tulane's injury problems matter, but WSU's are not an excuse. Sounds about right.
