He was neck deep in gambling back in the day. He probably has nothing to do with it today (gambling that is) but I'd bet every dollar I have that he had games fixed at some point. Given his association to the program, access to the players, regular payoffs and gambling history, it's too likely. He was a bookie and he paid those kids under the table. Fixing a game was either the one vice he DIDN'T have, or he's just as guilty as so many others were.

To barrow a Tark-que saying, sure hope KU didn’t anger the NCAA too much because they’ll come down hard on Wichita State!
This could get interesting if this leads to more investigations (between the Adidas probe and what is this like the 4th or 5th player with eligibility issues off the court?) or they just keep sweeping it under the rug...so to speak.If you're not going to go all the way, why go?
