Universities are under huge scrutiny right now regarding sexual assaults which can include something as simple as a grab or a grope. Not a lot of choice in the matter from BGSU as far as I'm concerned

Whoa. We don't know that either occurred. SHE could have been drunk, talking smack to him while he was on the way out, and he reacted to her verbally (and got slapped in the process). There ARE crazy women in this world after all.

We need more details. Especially since he is surprised at the end result.

Also note that it said "at least one" meaning they could have multiple reports which may explain why it was caught on video. All speculation but if it happened multiple times it obviously becomes even more of an issue.

We don't know what it is but if he was inappropriate and as some of you think groping or what not then it is a serious issue. Some of you sayingg groping isn't that big of a deal should probably do some thinking. Imagine if it was your sister or daughter being groped in a unwanted manner.

I hope I didn't imply that I didn't think it was serious. I was hopeful that WHATEVER it is, it isn't serious enough to ruin a promising career in college basketball by resulting in a "lifetime ban" via circumstance.

I remember Eustachy; went to a post game party, everyone had their phones out for pics; multiple pics with multiple females. It's not hard for me to envison some inappropriate touching occurring. Not that it's right; not that it's ok or even forgivable; but, in that scenario the story could be written the way it's being presented here with multiple videos, multiple women, and one slapping Jans for what happened.

Has anyone here ever seen Jans at a bar here in Wichita acting inappropriate or otherwise? The man was on the staff here for years and I have never heard anything about him in this regard (although the bar and nightclub scene is not my thing).

"Asked to leave"...he got kicked out of the bar.

"At least one assistant coach was involved in getting Jans out of the bar"... He had to be dragged out by his assistant coaches.

Ever seen anybody get kicked out of a bar and then have to be dragged out by his buddies? That type of activity is substantial evidence that that person should never go into a bar again.

I don't know that seeing an alcohol-related problem manifest itself is cause for firing. However, if this was not the first time an alcohol-related problem was observed and this was a demonstration that previous measures had not resolved the problem, then the axe must fall.

No, but I have heard stories about current and former assistants doing some silly things in Wichita... We all know guys are guys, but people have to be careful
