            IMHO 50/50 calls should be called the same way all the time and that is a no-call if they are truly 50/50. The charge in question last night looked more like a 80/20 call at a minimum. The official simply blew it. That's all. KU benefited in that instance. Unfortunately, it proved to be a game-changing no-call.

            I wonder how Shocker fans would have reacted had Jackie Carmichael made his final shot as he charge to the basket over and through Carl which the officials chose not to call. Maybe there would have been a late whistle had he made the basket. I guess we will never know.

            The morale of these stories is that you best not be puttin' yourself in a position where a call or no-call can determine the outcome of a game because at that point it pretty much becomes a crapshoot.
