Memphis

I predict that Memphis will not be much worse, if any, next year. They probably won't be "better" but they will be able to win games and come up with an RPI in the 100-150 range, just like this year. The team went sub-500 in conference and went 19-13 against the 4th worst SOS in the conference. They were not good. Those guys were stat-getters on an average team.

Tubby probably wanted to try other ways to get the team going, but it was an uphill battle when you've got a family saying "no" to any idea that doesn't include them getting stats.

This is somewhat reminiscent of Muller's arrival at IlSU. Took a couple of years, but that turned out all right for IlSU. Sometimes coaching changes get messy.

Orlando's an okay coach but not an elite coach. Pastner, well, wasn't impressed with him either. Memphis could be dynamite if they ever find the right guy. Lotta talent from that area.
