Iran Annicersary 'Punch' will stun the West: Khamenei

Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that Iran is set to deliver a "punch" that will stun world powers during this week's 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

President Ahmadi-nejad told a cabinet meeting yesterday that Iran will deliver a harsh blow to the “global arrogance” on this year’s anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

This should be interesting to see what great things the Iranians have in store - more missile launch photos that are poorly altered? Repainted F5? Or brutal violence on their own people who are protesting their government or will the government actually pay their employees salaries this week?

The "world" shouldn’t be - the continued protests are important. They demonstrate that the Iranian people are not intimidated by the regime. Iran is a tinderbox; the question is now the degree to which the Revolutionary Guards, et als can put out the sparks before they become a conflagration.

Our government should not sit on the sidelines “bearing witness” .

Actually, I didnt think it was a typo but figured you had just misheard it spoken by someone else (or they said it incorrectly). Easy to do.

Nothing wrong with a little teasing :) (and I was amused) – because I make my living, in part, through the written word when I make mistakes like that it bugs me.

It was not a typo in that I misspelled a word: My brain said “tinderbox” (I even thought “Did I really write timber?” when I read your post) but my fingers typed “timber box” – and I didn’t review what I wrote. So I really don’t know what you call it.

I blame my niece who runs around my sister-in-law’s apartment screaming “timmmmbbbbber” while falling on the sofa – cute for a while but gets old really fast – to the point where you hear it in your sleep. :banghead:
