  • Rush to judgement

It must have seemed so perfect. An obscure blogger unearths some pages of President Obama's college thesis. The report supposedly comes from big-time journalist Joe Klein of Time magazine. And the thesis has some real gems: like Obama's disdain for the Constitution.

The whole thing was nothing more than a satirical post on a humor blog. But Rush Limbaugh, who quoted from the supposed thesis on his radio show, sure wasn't laughing. Here's how it went down.
Rush uses his usual journalist skills to break the news! 8)

When has Limbaugh protrayed himself as a journalist? Never.

When has Barack Obama outed himself as anti-Constitution and pro-Marxism? So many times I'm scared to count them all.

Only someone seeking to tear down this country and reconstruct it in a Leninst framework would view the Constitution in a negative light.

Only a power-mongering statist would chafe with frustration at the limits the Constitution puts on the Presidency and the government.

Only a liar and a traitor would refuse to show his true colors by hiding his own words from public view.

Wow you use the same standards as El Rushbo!
Using partial interview out of context is statis quo with the Drugster.

"In this interview back in 2001, Obama was talking about the civil rights movement -- and the kind of work that has to be done on the ground to make sure that everyone can live out the promise of equality," Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said. "Make no mistake, this has nothing to do with Obama’s economic plan or his plan to give the middle class a tax cut. It’s just another distraction from an increasingly desperate McCain campaign."

Burton continued: "In the interview, Obama went into extensive detail to explain why the courts should not get into that business of 'redistributing' wealth. Obama’s point -- and what he called a tragedy -- was that legal victories in the civil rights led too many people to rely on the courts to change society for the better. That view is shared by conservative judges and legal scholars across the country.

PS I believe we already went through this argument. Watch out for black helicopters!

Check your facts, the interview wasn't with NPR, it was with WBEZ and they had no problem with it. The link you give has nothing giving the impression that the Public Radio station was upset with the rebroadcasting of his interview through YouTube.

And your quote is from an Obama campaign spokesperson, not exactly someone with the discerning critique of a member of the media.

The obvious manipulation is coming from you.

Why send a spin-meister to pull the horses back in the barn?

Again, only a liar and a traitor would refuse to show his true colors by hiding his own words from public view.

Where are those college papers? What could "The One" have to hide from the American Public?

Did Jesus Christ (or Mohammed for the Muslims in the neighborhood) refuse to share his message with his people?

WBEZ is Public radio! If you listen to the entire interview you will see it is you are full of it! taken out of context

Heres a NPR station finder just type in Chicago, and I'll wait for your apology!

Some of you have inquired as to why we didn’t request a takedown notice for the YouTube video. Here’s the deal: As an organization we strive to be an impeccable source of independent, unbiased news and information. While our audio content in this case was excerpted and repackaged in way that wasn’t in keeping with our own editorial standards, the source audio was available to others on the web and its use in this case was within generally acceptable fair use provisions.
Hes saying we cant ask to have it taken down by copyright but the way it was edited was not up to their standards. 8)

So kc, President Obama is against redistribution of wealth, correct?

And he isn't saying that the courts can't do it, and if we (Obama and other idiots) want it done it's going to have be done legistlatively, not through the courts, correct?

Just want to be sure I am clear on what came out of his mouth.

Yes, Doc, it's painfully obvious that the Alinsky-ites fully subscribe to killing the messenger instead of having a real debate. Deflect, distract, destroy. Answering the question in a straightforward manner is simply not one of the Rules for Radicals.
