    Eloquent, as always, kc. :)

I would love to travel to New Zealand/Australia and have talked about it for years. However, it is a long haul and I really can’t take off enough consecutive days to justify the trip. So I am stuck taking my one vacation in April – which, since you are concerned about my general health abroad, is a French island. :good:

My experience with the medical there is decidedly mixed. My wife had an ear problem – so we went to a local doctor who was very nice. I was a slightly concerned when her “solution” was utilizing a paper clip (from her desk – a cost saving measure if I ever saw one) – sticking it in my wife’s ear – to remedy the problem. That being said – it did seem to eventually work. :noidea: And believe me; I was very, very grateful.

Close but no - you are about 15 miles off. I have never been outside the grounds of Princess Juliana Airport on St. Maarten - which is actually on the Dutch side. I know people that vacation there - and they seem to enjoy the island.
