In all fairness, I admit, I am generalizing more than just the 1%...

Not generalizing them as violent, but generalizing them, in general.

How do you arrive at your percentage?

You right above this said that the peaceful protesters are anti free speech. It doesn't make me anti free speech if I oppose my school paying money to someone I find reprehensible.

No I did not. You are mistaken. Peaceful protests are a good thing. That doesn't mean I support all protests or all free speech. Morons shouldn't protest or voice their opinion, but I 100% support their right to do so.

Protesting because you don't think someone should be heard is a protest AGAINST free speech. The protestors that were linked in the article were also NOT peaceful. I stand by my statement and against your made up facts.

To avoid editing my above post, I will add some clarification here. The proper way to engage someone that has ideas that are ridiculous, is to not engage them at all. You can't argue with an idiot. OTOH, if the idiot has somehow persuaded non-idiots that his/her ideas are worthy, then rather than protesting them, an open discussion should be had. That promotes the exchange of ideas. Protesting someone is just trying to shout over them. My kids do this when fighting over toys. Guess what...it doesn't solve anything.

And that's why we're protesting the protesters -- because we are 'Merican!

Wait you are saying that what is good for you personally is necessarily good for the country.

Because they keep voting for the wrong guy! And what do they know about land ownership anyway? What's next, are we going to allow them to use the urinals, get plumbing licenses and be allowed to golf? I don't think so. The guys at the Elk Lodge won't go for it.

The Moose Lodge would probably be in favor.

The schools don't pay for the speakers, if that's what you mean. They are sponsored by non-affiliated groups. This goes for liberal and conservative speakers at California public schools.

Thankfully, today's students have the right to protect their piers from scary ideas! I'd hate to think that students would be forced to listen to someone with thoughts that didn't support their core beliefs.

No, I didnt even say these protests are all bad.

But I am generalizing that a majority of these protestors are ignorant, as they don't understand what they are protesting, a portion are violent, a majority are socialists, some are just there to pick up chicks, a majority have never tried to rationalize what they really believe and form an opinion of their own.

And Im still waiting for a liberal to tell me what the United States would look like if they got everything they ever wanted.

BTW, women in this country have been able to own property since colonial times. When a woman entered into a marriage contract with a man, she turned that right over to the man. It is very similar to a trust. The man had to keep his wife "in the manner of his status" or the woman was granted free spending rights.

Through the early 19th century, most states passed rights for women to own property even when married. Most of these laws were passe without protests being the key driver.

Okay then, if women are ready to be property owners then answer this without looking up the answer: What size circuit breaker (240 volts) is typical for your standard household gas water heater? Darn near every property owning man I know can answer that one without looking it up. Amirite @pinstripers:?
