To avoid editing my above post, I will add some clarification here. The proper way to engage someone that has ideas that are ridiculous, is to not engage them at all. You can't argue with an idiot. OTOH, if the idiot has somehow persuaded non-idiots that his/her ideas are worthy, then rather than protesting them, an open discussion should be had. That promotes the exchange of ideas. Protesting someone is just trying to shout over them. My kids do this when fighting over toys. Guess what...it doesn't solve anything.Livin the dreamComment

BTW, women in this country have been able to own property since colonial times. When a woman entered into a marriage contract with a man, she turned that right over to the man. It is very similar to a trust. The man had to keep his wife "in the manner of his status" or the woman was granted free spending rights.Originally posted by seskridge
