As noted by Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro, "The report states that Warren could be just 1/1024th Native American. What’s more, the study was based not on Native American DNA, but on Mexican, Peruvian, and Colombian DNA."

So will she pivot and claim she is a descendant fo someone in the drug cartels? Probably not.

So basically this person way back in her lineage could be someone from the Iberian Peninsula? Good job, good effort.

I have to give credit to Rush for that one although I don't know if he came up with it or if he picked it up from somenone else.

      • What were Heidi Heitkamp and her people thinking? That was a colossal misstep that ends any prayer or re-election against a marginal candidate in ND. Faced with potential lawsuits she might even be forced to withdraw from her race. How stupid can you be? And she’s a moderate!

I think we all have a tendency to see the strategic missteps on our own side more than on the other side. It makes sense, since you're hurt worse by your own side bungling an election or political play.

Which is to say, I understand why some on here like to say dems take advantage of their situation and it seems like the republicans aren't as keen to do the same. But it's just blatantly false. I don't think my side has anyone like McConnell. McConnell was willing to keep the Scalia seat open for a year because he thought it'd help republican turnout during the election, and he was right. I thought he was absolutely going to bungle the Kavanaugh situation, but the republicans got nearly the best case scenario (i.e., Kavanaugh on the court, an investigation to act like he was exonerated, etc.) they could have asked for. I'm not sure Chuck Schumer has a strategic bone in his body. At least Manchin played the field and voted for Kavanaugh once it became clear that was the smart political play.

Heitkamp is going to lose, in significant part because she's had a miserable last 6 weeks. Dems are in an excellent place for these midterms. A historically unpopular president (who, admittedly, has seemingly reigned it in quite a bit over the last month or so), animus about the last election, etc. And I think we'll see that play out in the House, but the Senate is another story. With the comically bad map for dems and the poor strategic decision making coming from some of these folks, I think we should be happy with an MVC-style, moral victory if we manage to let republicans only gain a single seat. Particularly as we see folks like Warren with their eyes set on 2020.

FWIW, I am no Mitch McConnell fan. He needs to leave Washington every bit as much as Chuck Schumer, with the only personal tipping point being that he represents my point of view. I'd LOVE to be able to say "JD, we yield supreme power for the next hour. We'll go back and forth and eliminate one person, you start." You say McConnell, I'll say Schumer. They gone. I bet if we each went 10 deep whomever replaced those 20 would have the Senate in a better place almost immediately.

WuDrWu you and jdshock could go to any chamber of commerce, Rotary, or volunteer board, randomly pick 100 people and instantly upgrade the senate. You could upgrade the house with people from a Wal Mart parking lot.

Okay, LOL, this is pretty good.

Mika starts out with an intro highlighting Trump's various comments about women's faces. Then she proceeds to lead into her panel discussion with the following very strange tie-in...

"What could the Russians have on him if he is this base, and animalistic, and disgusting..."

          Am I missing something?

                • Trump will win with his base if he turns the caravan back to Mexico. He’s not going to win over anybody if he takes these illegals into custody and grants amnesty. The left will continue to despise trump no matter. This is obviously some kind of Hail Mary pass by the dems to affect the midterms and give some momentum to their voter base since they can’t win in the arena of ideas and trump hate only goes so far.

                  • How does he turn it back? That gets closer to the crux of the problem.

                    • Hopefully the Mexican government can be persuaded diplomatically to end support of the caravan. If that doesn’t play out I imagine the national guard would step in and apprehend anyone that attempts a border crossing through the most peaceful means possible.

"I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October," Trump tweeted. "I'm picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas - weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!"

That "major rally" is tonight. But even on the eve of what is expected to be a massive event in Houston, Cruz still seemed somewhat sparse in his praise of Trump in a story that aired on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" on Sunday.

"He's the President," said Cruz. "I work with the President in delivering on our promises. What I told the President the week after the election, I said, 'Mr. President, I want to do everything humanly possible to roll up my sleeves and lead the fight in the Senate to deliver on our promises."

While Cruz may not love having to need Trump, he knows it's his best chance at surviving in 15 days. And Cruz is far from the first former foe to bow down to the President's political power.

Rand Paul once blasted Trump as a "delusional narcissist and an orange-faced windbag" during the 2016 race but, by 2018, was comparing Trump to Ronald Reagan when it comes to diplomacy. Following Trump's attacks in July 2015 on the late Sen. John McCain's military service, Lindsey Graham called Trump a "jackass" and said the billionaire "shouldn't be commander in chief." By April 2017, Grahan's tune on Trump had changed markedly; "I am like the happiest dude in America right now," he said on Fox News Channel. "We have got a President and a national security team that I've been dreaming of for eight years."
Trump has got to be feeling like King Kong. He took over a major political party in the greatest superpower the world has ever known and made it his *****. And he did it while seemingly not giving a rat's ass what came out of his mouth. At times it was almost as if he was trying to blow himself up. Is there a possibility that every single seemingly retarded thing he's ever said was said for a specific purpose, for a specific strategic effect? Could he literally be 5 chess moves ahead of everyone while simultaneously appearing to be 5 moves behind? With every single person on the planet analyzing his every move? What a mind **** this guy is.

                          • Insults and accusations is nothing new, actually it's a long-standing tradition, in the political realm. Trump was never this caustic that I can recall over the last 25 years when he was on Oprah, Letterman, 20/20, etc. It's funny how the Dems are so aghast concerning his bellicosity. He was, and still very much is, up to the task. Turning it into a political battle of morality, after the fact, is a failed strategy which could engenderfurther unintended consequences. Like this:

What's that flag they're burning say? Why would they think something as dangerously stupid as that?

Re-read the first sentence I wrote above, then go way back several years in this thread and your question will be answered, as to what I'm "trying to say."
