Unfortunately the AA demo is a voting bloc that is bought and paid for by the democrats. Much like unions. Very hard to connect ideologically with groups of people that are not motivated to vote in consideration of the greater good of the nation, but who are instead motivated by income or benefits personally derived via the federal government. In the context of AA's, the attraction to the left is single-minded in nature, because outside of such issue(s) AA's mostly have a belief system that mirrors conservative evangelicals. In many ways AA's are conservative evangelicals, they just don't know it yet. Kind of sixth-sense-y.

Good thing the World Series is on tonight because holy crap what a blah debate.
Rubio and Cruz scored points and everyone else has basically sucked. Christie I guess has been decent too (Kasich also in the beginning), but lol at either of those two moving significantly as a result.
Jeb might as well pick out the casket for his campaign after tonight.

I expect a poll bump for Rubio. Bush made an error by attacking Rubio. Bush got nothing from tonight. Trump might of held his own but Carson didn't help himself.I agree about Kasich at the start but guess I missed how Cruz scored points. My mind kind of shut down near the end. The panel did ask some tough questions.
Definite winner for me in the under card was Lindsay Graham. I'll make a long range guess with the Republican ticket being Rubio/Fiorina. I reserve the right to change my mind many times.Last edited by tropicalshox; October 28, 2015, 11:23 PM.In the fast lane

I think this group of GOP candidates is collectively the best we have had in a very long time. I can easily get behind several of them. I'd rank the performance as:
1. Rubio/Cruz
3. Trump
4. Christie
5. Carson
6. Kasich/Fiorina
8. Paul/Huckabee
10. Bush
The four I think could win it would be:
Cruz, Rubio, Trump, Carson
But I think Christie might start to see a bump if he keeps it up. I don't like some of his politics, but dang he's entertaining, and there's no perfect politician.
Paul won't win the nod, but he would make a heck of an economic advisur (couldn't decide between adviser or advisor, so I wen't all modern). He'd be in Kung Wu's cabinet if Kung Wu were elected, that's for sure.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Since when did debates become candidates debating the moderators and not the other candidates?

If you contrasted the softball questions in the DNC debate with the gotcha statements in the RNC debate, you'd have a pretty solid SNL skit with the absurdity.

Can someone who takes Trump at all seriously explain why I should too? I have watched his debate performances, press conferences and stump speeches and am still not totally convinced he isn't executing a Borat-esque troll on the American public.
Basically, he is mildly entertaining and politically incorrect to the point of absurdity. 50% or so of his "straight talk" is thinly veiled racism, sexism, religious fear-mongering, or other drivel designed to prey upon the fears of the simple minded. The other half involves self-puffery on his vaunted business acumen. The guy inherited $40 million and would actually be worth more than his present $2.9 billion (per Bloomberg) if he'd simply stuck his scrooge mcduck stash of cash in an S&P 500 index fund, but trust him, he can not only build the wall along the Mexican border, he'll get Mexico to pay for it too.
Mostly I just want to argue the merits with anyone who really likes the guy.

I can't tell you why to take him seriously, I can only tell you that he's worth a vote for the entertainment value. :)Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
