Word is that the FBI is investigating the security of Clinton's email server. I think that's appropriate for several reasons, chiefly among them is 1) they will examine as to whether FISMA baseline standards were used (the server was properly hardened and configured - note that any federal department and contractors are required to either have their systems compliant (and I'm guessing that this one would rate as a 'high' system) or have a waiver) and 2) if this becomes a criminal investigation, they have the ability to obtain subpoenas, search warrants, and are qualified to handle any evidence collected in case there IS a prosecution (note that if the 'chain of evidence' prosecutorial rules are not followed, it could be thrown out of court).

However, I would not be surprised if a waiver magically appeared (perhaps backdated as well?).

Meh. Nobody cares. Nobody but a few politicians trying to make a controversy. Now let's talk about Benghazi.

Baseline standards. All part of the framework.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

This is the most interesting presidential run-up in a long, long time.

The Dems are doing everything possible to distance themselves from Hillary. The Repubs are doing everything possible to distance themselves from Trump. Both parties think their current front-runner is a loser.

While I generally struggle to agree with the policies of either party, in this situation, I agree with both. Then I look at the next-tier candidates. Biden and Bush make Trump look good - and that makes me throw up a bit in my mouth.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Will the GOP "debate" turn into an HC Bashorama, or will the Big DT just waste everyone present.
              Either way, getcha popcorn ready!

                1. Hillary has said she never sent or received anything that was classified.

                2. Inspector General from the Intelligence community has reported to Congress that out of 40 random emails selected, 10% contained classified information.

                3. NYPost is saying their sources are saying the FBI is running a criminal probe. I figure if Obama want her out of the race (maybe for Biden), you will see this blow up for her, if not then the DOJ/AG will shield her.

Whether the server was secure or not has literally nothing to do with what people should actually be upset about, and no bearing on whether something inappropriate was done. The security of the system is smoke and mirrors.

The mere fact that it exists and was used for such purpose, clearly against every regulation in the book, is the issue. The fact that one thinks they are so above the rule of the land as to do whatever the hell they want and just walk on, is the issue.

Why Biden as the Democrat's secondary candidate instead of Sanders? Biden isn't even running yet, and he has zero support (he's invisible in office except for occasionally looking like a creepy grandpa). Sanders is well behind Clinton, but he is clearly the second candidate in the Democratic race and is drawing the largest crowds of any candidate.

This has nothing to do with Hillary. I'm not a fan.

But seriously, you're quoting the NYPost's ... SOURCES?

The NYPost does not have sources. The NYPost is a joke.

You don't have to be a genius to know that a referral to the FBI means that a criminal investigation is going on. The New York Post may be a joke, but like the broken clock, they can be right on very few occasions. This is one of them.

Now whether that criminal investigation leads to any charges is something that people can and will speculate on.

This is a tech source, they're spinning it the same way as I am:
Hillary Clinton is still the frontrunner for the Democratic 2016 presidential nomination, but she’s by no means secure—and, according to the FBI, neither

If the security configuration over Hillary's email server is as bad as I think it might be, this would be akin to leaving CIA top-secret files in a hotel room, or a library or in a taxicab. Anywhere where someone with even a small lick of sense would immediately know what it was.

I'm thinking that this is a federal crime, if it can be proven.
                            - Mishandling of classified information
                            - Violation of the federal records act
                            - Violation of the freedom of information act.

Clinton has more in common with Snowden than a viable POTUS candidate.
