She has relationships with every major bank, and if you extend beyond her Senate career you'll find donations from a very interesting set of donors (in far larger total amount than Obama received, though over much larger time periods).
If you look at each source, it is clear Obama got a much larger percentage of donations from colleges and from government sources; whereas Clinton had larger percentages from banks, news media (including $3M from FOX), and unions. But the scariest thing is that this election the kiddie gloves are off and we get to see what truly unlimited fundraising can do. Obama raised a little under $750M in 2008, and roughly the same amount in 2012. Clinton is set to raise $2B, $500M more than Obama did from both his campaigns (which were already record settings).
There are also non-monetary considerations, like how many media members had jobs at one point or another either under Bill Clinton or helping one of the two either in office or getting to office. Christine Amanpour, Thomas Friedman, Lionel Barber, Nicholas Kristof, Maria Bartiromo, Matt Laeur, Matthew Bishop, George Stephanopolous, Tom Brokaw, Greta Van Susteran, Anderson Cooper, Judy Woodruff. Katie Couric, Fareed Zakaria, and many more are all related to Clintons in one way or another. For those keeping track that hits CNN, the New York Times, The Financial Times, CNBC, NBC, The Economist, ABC News, NBC News, Fox News, PBS and Newsweek. Obama didn't have 25+ years to grow his political circle like the Clintons did, he just rode a massive wave of popularity and anti-Bush sentiment (and is just more likable than Clinton).Last edited by CBB_Fan; July 31, 2015, 01:15 AM.Comment

It's more bad news for Hillary Clinton. In the last poll posted by Quinnipiac University, only 31% of those polled viewed her favorably, while 42% felt that she is "corrupt and dishonest". Further more, the remaining 27% answered that they think she is a "total *****."Comment
