    Saw this on the Internet today and it reminded me of this thread



    If something like this is possible, it might explain why getting out of oil would be a good idea. I'll believe it when I see it, though.

      Pretty cool. So salt water is storing energy, but something has to positively and negatively charge the salt water at the filling station. Until they reveal the mechanism for charging the salt water, we don't know how efficient this is energy-wise. For example, it could take more fuel (gas) to charge the salt water, than it would to drive the car on the gas directly. Let's hope they have an efficient way to charge the salt water, 'cause that would be super sweet! Nuclear power would be an efficient way to charge the salt water ... but ...
