I have my right to my opinion, Sub has his and you have yours. I can comment on the GOP as you have in the past commented on the positions the Dems have taken. I'm just guessing but your so called Rhinos my say the problem are people like you. I am glad that I have finally found the one individual who defines conservative values. Rem as minorities begin to take districts in states like Texas the future is to the party that garnerss the woman and other minorities votes. Those that have the minorities will eventually take the House and Senate. The far right has been let us say not minority friendly. You may not like that but that is a fact. You cant be anti womans rights, anti immigration, and not sensitive to other minorities problems and expect to win the majority of elections in the future.

Those aren't facts. That's just how the media and the far left paint conservatives. Unless you mean we're not friendly to minorities because we believe that they should be allowed the opportunity to move up and better their spot in life as opposed to being kept down by the gov't and made dependent upon the gov't. The Dems seem to think being "minority friendly" means treating them like children who can never succeed in life. More and more minorities are waking up to this fact and while it'll take time, it'll happen. And on the grand scheme of things, most minorities seem to share more conservative values than many realize, but the picture has been painted that the conservatives, who are the ones who freed the slaves and fought for the civil rights act, are evil and want to oppress those that they've essentially freed. As far as women's "rights", this country is pretty split on the issue of abortion. Personally, I'm going to side with protecting the defenseless and many women support that view.

The Dems will alway receive around 40 to 50% of white males and that even in those over 40. As my generation dies off and the current younger generation mature look for more white males to vote Dem. In my humble opinion the GOP must become more moderate to survive in the future or there will be two separate parties or more representing each faction.

The Dems will not always anything. The farther left they push this country, the more people are going to wake up to the destructive policies they're putting in place. And it's no coincidence that the more "moderate/liberal" the GOP becomes, the more power and influence they've lost. Conservative values and principles will be what saves the party. Or it could destroy the party, but a better one will then rise up in its place.

Essentially, the strength of either party will come down to one thing. Those that feel gov't should be involved in and do everything they want, Dems, and those that believe in personal freedom and liberty and that the don't need to gov't involved in every aspect of life, GOP. That's assuming the GOP is still around and moves back to its conservative roots.

As opposed to your position of keeping people dependent on government? How is my position of personal freedom and liberty funny? Because I don't believe in the murder of the unborn? Because I believe in equal opportunity and not equal results? Because I believe that people should be given a chance to do what they wish, but not be given things just because of who they are or aren't?

I don't care what the percentages are in the past election or two or whatever. Those change with the times. Back with the GOP was winning the House and Senate and White House or whatever I'm sure the percentages favored them. Things change and the current numbers are no guarantee of future results. I truly believe as more minorities see what's going on and stop listening to what they're fed but certain segments of society and do some actual critical thinking, that more and more will see that conservatives and conservativism isn't the devil that it's painted to be in the media. It'll take time, but it's time worth taking. I don't care if conservatives don't take over the GOP in '14 or '16 or whatever. The win at all costs model is what has hurt this country. The movement needs to just continue doing what it's doing by keeping the message out there and finding leaders who will stand by their principles and not give into everything like McCain and the other undocumented Democrats. Those are the people who have hurt the GOP by not standing for the principles that the party was built on and becoming more and more liberal every year.
