        U.S. intelligence is saying that Iran attack is next Tuesday/Wednesday. This would be on the Jewish day mourning holiday Tisha B'Av.

        Iran reportedly plans to attack Israel on the day of Tisha B'Av, when Jews mourn the loss of the first and second Temples.

          Evidently, I had my week wrong. Tisha B'Av is this coming week. France had asked Iran to not do anything until after the Olympics.

          Israeli Intelligence believes the decision has been made by Iran. Iran want to attack and inflict serious damage on Israel without starting a war.
          Iran is supposedly contemplating whether to attack Tisha B'Av or draw it out for psychological advantages (preemptive strike, anybody?). Hamas pulled out of ceasefire negotiations today.

            NYT is reporting that the assessment will be the Iranian attack will be coordinated with the Hezbollah attack. Hezbollah will start the attack, and Iran will follow up. They are thinking Tisha B'Av (Monday night).

              Somebody in the Biden adminstration leaked to Axios that the Israeli Defense minister spoke to Secretary Defense Austin today, and Israel's intelligence see Iranian preparation for a large-scale Iranian attack.

                  It's just hard to believe that Iran is going to follow up their usual sabre rattling with an attack that could mean the end of Iran.

                    U.S. Central Command

                    @CENTCOM

                    Secretary of Defense Austin has ordered the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN Carrier Strike Group, equipped with F-35C fighters, to accelerate its transit to the Central Command area of responsibility, adding to the capabilities already provided by the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT Carrier Strike Group. In addition, the Secretary has ordered the USS Georgia (SSGN 729) to the Central Command region. Hen Mazzig @HenMazzig

                      Hezbollah said they were targeting military bases in Israel. Yet, out of the 6,000 rockets intended to be launched on Israel today, NOT EVEN ONE hit any Israeli military base. The 320 rockets they managed to launch were aimed at civilians and families, all sleeping at 5am.
