Trump got beat by Covid, not Biden.

If his emotional development and capacity for strategic thinking had been greater than a 4 yr old child's, he would have been a shoe-in for a 2nd term.

It was an easy formula for success really. Just leave ALL THE MEDICAL STUFF TO THE ACTUAL DOCTORS, then, if things go wrong, which they invariably will with a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, you can blame it on the other guy and walk away scot free.

But he had to meddle and wrestle back control of the cameras after only a few months of adulting. When he still wasn't being taken seriously, he started his same old bullshit and began tweeting "LiBeRaTe Michigan, Virginia, Minnesota". His reckless behavior encouraged non-compliance, not only in America, but the rest of the world - in a time we needed it most. His fate and name was forever linked to a failed pandemic response.

I will concede that Putin likely would not have invaded Ukraine had Trump been president. Trump has an affinity for the Slavic people, and likely has a very compatible personality with Putin...... as scary as that sounds. Trump also is a great emissary for Putin with respect to NATO - destabilizing it with every tweet. He's also tried desperately in the past to get the Trump brand established in Russia, with little success. He would have kept the tyrant placated IMO. At least until he left office.

Biden and the Dims approached the U.S. - Russia issue like it has been approached in the past. No tolerance for tyrannical/immoral/murderous behavior.

You see, I can call it like it is because I'm a free thinker. I don't watch Fox News, and I have never voted for a Democrat.

        I prefer the latter.

        But you do you.
I would prefer we win the war against a tyrant that is murdering peaceful people (including his own). This is what America has always stood for. This is what I stand for.

Lives > money. And the Ukrainians are fighting with the courage of our past great American warriors in hopes of saving their land. They aren't walking to a "meat grinder", they are actually punching WAY above their weight class. What's embarrassing is we aren't giving them more. They have the heart to send Putin a defeating blow.

Let's SAVE THE UKRAINIANS by giving the new Hitler everything he wants. Pure propagandist Trumper bullshit.

I don't believe anyone is saying this, but this is what discussion and debate has come to in 2024. Trump believes he's capable of negotiating a stop with Putin. So do I (and I'm sure millions of other Americans). Will that include some concessions? Absolutely. Is it better than continued war at an expense of a half a trillion dollars for you and me? I think so. Also, I believe stopping the war will "allow" the good Russian people to turn on Putin (one way or the other) when they aren't being slaughtered in the Ukraine killing fields. That's also a good thing.

I also think there's a more efficient way to "sponsor" this war, and there has been from day 1. But I would say that about almost every single federal government expenditure, ever.

How do all these people without producing jobs get to be multimillionaires while average Americans go into debt?

When you say things like you do about all "doctors" and "Trumpers" above, you become exactly the person that you think you are correcting.

He is only saying what he needs to in order to “keep conversation going”.

Cold is fake. It’s like engaging with a 2018 era twitter bot, except not as clever.

Reports are there was a bomb smuggled in months ahead of time in the room that was exploded remotely. This is either a huge black eye for Iranians security forces, or this is Iran removing a person who was causing them huge headaches.

There are reports that some of the Iranian opposition was intertwined with the Islamic Republican Guard, and the Mossad (who had infiltrated), and planted a bomb to kill the Hamas leader who was connected with the Iranian Supreme Leader.

Oh this is 100% what the "Trump message" is essentially saying. It's pure 1940 France.

While I stated I believe the war in Ukraine likely would have been averted with Trump in office, I do not have the same confidence about him being able to stop it without a super majority.

Do you really believe Putin to be a rational individual at this point? If so, you are more naïve than I thought.

Why is it fair to ask Ukraine to give up their land, when you would be the first to screech about giving up some of America?

How could anybody justify the acts of a madman, by giving him ANYTHING he seeks in the way that he sought it? Talk about setting a horrific modern-day precedent. Who's supposed to be the party of LAW AND ORDER again?

That's your opinion. Its not your land that's been invaded. Ask all the proud mother's of the dead Ukrainian boys if it's worth it. This is a fight for freedom and liberty. This is a fight against one of America's greatest threats. Putin has proven he will invade at will. He seeks to destabilize NATO and the rest of the region. Trump is turning out to be a VERY good friend of Russia indeed.....

Good God, don't get me started on the Trump Cult and the abdication of PROVEN, modern medical best practices.

This is a beautiful statement to use as an example of how far the Republican party has fallen under the Trump influence.

Proven science versus conspiratorial-laden belief systems. It is fascinating and quite sad to watch from the outside.

IMO, we need to keep the NATO countries aligned WITH Ukraine and against Putin.

We need to bribe whoever we can in order to build/strengthen a coalition in the Middle East.

And the answer to China is Japan... perhaps. Start growing our Japanese and S. Korean bases.

Maybe funnel military funds into Taiwan and create a major military "Taiwanese" base loaded with the latest US tech.

Russia, Iran, N. Korea, and China. These are the enemies of worldwide peace. Keep 'em in a 3rd world box for as long as possible. Of course China isn't 3rd world, but their politics are.

I'm no geopolitical expert. Feel free to tear this strategy apart.

Did I read someone write about proven science somewhere? Are they talking about proven science like, wearing masks, and the COVID vaccine preventing us from ever getting COVID?

Proven science has become nothing more than a method to grab tax payer dollars and return kickbacks to the politicians who push for the funding.

Had we taken the three trillion we pissed away on climate initiatives, EV's etc and spent it on defense/military no one would threaten us OR our allies. As for the hostage swap. Big mistake. It will only encourage the taking of more in the future.
