That had to be one of the lowest television rated debates in history, didn’t it? I would’ve rather watched Beaches (see other thread).

Maybe one of the highest rated actually, but for all the wrong reasons. It was like watching a NASCAR race, with the ever-present potential of death.

Can’t force Joe out. He has to willingly step aside. And I don’t think that happens.

I think it’s just as likely that the dems cut their losses and take a four year lame duck and prepare for 28. They really have no good prospects in the wings right now and they need to develop someone.

Apparently the total was just under 48M. The first debate between these two in '20 had 73M and the first between Trump and Clinton in '16 was 84M.

The word is out now from the Democrat Party. Joe Biden just had a bad night. Jill and Joe don’t want to give in. Things will look up from here. Nothing has changed here. We’re sticking with Biden. Just as Barack. Bad debates happen.
