  • 1st Debate Romney/Obama

Mitt has total control of his facts and is confident and Presidential.

Any effort to say that Obama even played this to a draw is absolute Hor5h1t.

Outside of voter fraud, Mitt Romney is the next President of the United States.

Um, disagree. Romney stated what his people wanted to hear, and Obama said what his people wanted to hear.

Whoever is the next Prez is h0r5esh!t.

      God help us all.

More proof that Romney won: Rachel Maddow is complaining about Moderator Jim Lehrer.

A very successful former CEO and governor kicks the crap out of an inexperienced media-elected darling and people act surprised?

I found it interesting that Obama was trying to hammer Romney on health care and brought up Romney track record of getting bi-partisanship while he was Gov. Ooooops!

Romney definitely won this first debate. He was the more agressive. Obama's mistake was not challenging Romney on some of the things he said. For example on the 20% tax cuts across the board that Romney had been campaigning on.

This should give Romney new life in the polls. I think he'll still have to duplicate this in the next two debates to have a chance. It might be tougher for him in the townhall format in the next debate, but you never know.

I thought Romney did fantastic but there were so many points he could have made regarding this President's failed record. Romney has a ton of ammunition left.

Also, I thought it was fun watching Barack Hussein try and run his four corner offense the debate. It was almost as if he was thinking "I've got to keep talking because if I stop this guy is going to drill me". Stall and run clock, stall and run clock.

Because Obama will suddenly gain executive experience before the next debate, or because questions lobbed will be prescreened softballs?

Obama will do better next debate, no doubt. But that's because he couldn't do any worse.

It was brutal for BHO. The 4 corner offense comment is spot on. I felt like he thought if he could just keep talking, he would get to avoid MR just drilling him.

I also felt like BHO never got off script. He kept talking about the 5 trillion in tax cuts, and Romney had to correct him multiple times on it.

BHO's speech pattern is horrible for a debate. His long winded calculated words make it look like he doesn't know what he's talking about, which may very well be true. It's not like he had to talk specifics to get elected the first time. I think he's finding out it's much harder to get elected when you can't talk about "hope and change" because you have to defend what you've done for the past 4 years.
